I’m currently living near Montreal, Quebec with my twin sons and husband because of a short-term work assignment with my husband’s employer.
I’ve decided that while I’m here in Canada, I’m going to learn a new language, which may or may not be French–the primary language here in Quebec.
Mini Mindset Shifting
I just turned 35, and if I was about ten years younger, I might say that I’m going through a quarter-life crisis of some sort. But since I’m clearly over that age hump, I’ll just say that I’m reevaluating my life, my goals, and my purpose. I’m focusing on living a more purpose-driven life.
I’m also shifting my writing focus less on business resources/tech tutorials and more on personal development and self-improvement for creative, entrepreneurial-spirited moms like me. It just feels like this is more in line with my purpose, so I’m rolling with it.
Also, I’ve started doing this little thing (thanks to my sister) where before I make any new decisions, I ask myself, “Does this (or will this) bring me joy?” If the answer is no, then most likely I stop doing it or refrain from starting it in the first place.
I never, ever thought I’d be saying this, but I’ve gone vegan…well, at least semi-vegan. I haven’t had any chicken (including eggs), beef, or pork since January 2017. I’m calling it semi-vegan because I do have a bit a fish and occasionally some cheese throughout the week.
It’s been an interesting shift, and my body actually feels better. Not sure what my long-term plans are but so far so good.
Just started working on a new book and course idea based on living a flourishing life and living more intentionally. I’ve outlined a couple of chapters, and plan to focus on fleshing it out over the next couple of weeks.
